What methods do we use in the learning process?

The trainers of the center «Interchance» widely use the world-known communicative approach of English studying.

What are the advantages of the communicative approach?

an opportunity to practice written and oral skills which is the main activity at the lesson. This approach ensures overcoming the language barrier, essential improving the active vocabulary and quality grammar learning which are required to socialize in the real life;

a wide use of language and verbal structures for trainer/student socializing at the first lesson;

the students will get an opportunity to take an active part in the training process (to make conclusions by themselves);
within the training process a trainer uses the various training materials based on the “situation principle” (dramatization, role-playing and disputing games);
the role of a trainer is variable and depends on the goals of each training stage (a survivor, a consultant or an active participant);

At that, we, by no means, exclude the application of the traditional (academic) approach to the training process at the lessons, as a communicative one it has its advantages : it is based on the methodical training of using the grammar rules, reverse translation, language and speech exercises.
